My name is Cameron Hope, I am the father to Azaryah hope.
Azaryah Hope is our 3 year old little boy who loves trucks, bikes, and anything that’s fun and adventurous. He loves his little brother endlessly, and his smile and laugh will light up any room.
On June 1, 2023 at 6:30 pm, our lives changed forever when we noticed he had taken his bike and wandered away from our lakefront house. While searching for him, we found him in the lake where he has drowned. We pulled him out, and started CPR. A Firefighter came to the rescue and took over CPR and we were able to bring back a heart beat- praise the lord!

We spent 3.5 weeks in the ICU with him at Vancouver Children’s hospital and are so grateful for the team there that helped us navigate learning how to settle into our new reality. He was diagnosed with a severe hypoxic brain injury. Ryah had a heartbeat, but he wasn’t able to breathe on his own; walk, talk, and they told us that Azaryah would die, or be severely impaired the rest of his life.
RYAH is a fighter! He has beaten all odds even when the doctors were saying he would not make it through the night.
Over the last 6 weeks Ryah is now breathing on his OWN, laughing, rolling, holding his own neck up and trying to be verbal again! ( praise the lord!)

We are far from where we need to go, for Azaryah to get back to a functioning life, but nonetheless we are thankful for the progress made.
We made the decision 2 weeks ago to Privately fly mom, dad, and Ryah to New Orleans where our little guy is undergoing Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment. That is where we are at now in the process of Ryahs recovery, and we are asking YOU to pray; believe with us that Ryah will walk, talk, run and ride his bike again!
